That is quite a valid point, but surely it would cost less then building brand new infrastructure that we’ve been doing for BRT that already possesses elevated structures.
Also, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a shared corridor either and could be just an alternative source of public transportation to the existing/future BRT lines. This could then provide more coverage of public transportation to Manitobans in a more efficient manner.
Either way it’s up to CN if they’re ever willing to move out of Winnipeg proper which I venture is highly unlikely in the foreseeable future.
