Because very few if anyone in Austin would be willing to pay the very high dollar per sq ft that comes with the price to build said starchitecture. So I guess curved, round, or heavily angled designs won't happen here anytime soon. For me, adding notches, texture, stacking and maybe an offset to a box doesn't do much to improve the box. And claiming adoration for height and density over anything else is a weak reason to concede to the reality. We are a 2nd tier city. We are lucky to be getting some decent buildings, ie: Indeed, Sail, possibly 5C, Republic...
