The main Belfast storage shed can now hold 66 current 4-module 48-meter LRV.
The quonset tent (southeast corner) can hold 2 more, and the the other four will either be still in assembly, or stashed inside the new LMF bldg. (northeast corner) and/or the LMF side of the main Maint bldg., until the Moodie site gets up-and-running.
When in final post-phase2 operation, the trains will essentially be split between the two Facilities, with possibly 2 to 4 overnighted at Algonquin (an operational supposition and possibility - it keeps getting batted back-and-forth). That assumes the stated number of 34 at the Moodie storage shed with 4 tracks. (?? some numbers do not add up here - <shrug> no surprise.)
These numbers are all on current LRV levels of 72 total vehicles at 4 modules per vehicle (48 meters). This allows a growth of 28 more 4-module vehicles to a total of 100.
If and when we expand the LRVs to 5 modules, adding 11 meters per LRV, to 59 meters per LRV, all the numbers change.
For instance, at Belfast, the sheds are now, 9 tracks at 300 meters for 54 4-mod LRV , and 3 tracks at 200 meters for 12 4-mod LRV. Total 66.
Change this up, and the sheds could hold, 9 tracks at 300 meters for 45 5-mod LRV, and 3 tracks at 200 meters with some wasted length for 9 5-mod LRV. Total 54.
Now supposedly when Phase 3 comes along, Moodie LMSF can be expanded, whether to hold more and/or longer LRV is always an open question. We never know.
