It really is. The lobby/ground floor area is really beautiful. Almost as grand as the Royal York in Toronto or Hotel Vancouver, but you can really tell how much smaller Calgary was than those 2 cities at the time. Toronto was about 600 000, Vancouver about 170 000, Calgary was only about 50 000. I'm not 100% sure about the Fairmont at CCII, it was stated on the Calgary section, and the poster said it as if he was sure of himself, so I'll go with that. It could just be a rumour though, but it would make sense to me. Look at how beautiful the front will be! It has to be Fairmont!
