Pilot project puts food on streets

The City of Saskatoon has cooked up plans that would allow food trucks to park legally on public streets.

Mobile food trucks - serving up everything from Asian fusion to fish tacos, shawarma and specialty french fries - are banned from using public stalls, but a report going to the city's planning and operations committee next week recommends starting a one-year mobile food truck pilot program that would make the trucks legal.
