@Cambie and King Ed development: awesome! I was really worried the fencing was just to stop people using it as a drop-off/pick-up zone, which would be a little heavy handed. This will put long-term pressure on the single storey houses west on King Ed to by redeveloped.

@Cambie and 12th (Whitespot development) I agree with the use of brick in framing the balconies is so out of place for the area. If they are going to use brick I would look to the way the did the development near 12 and Arbutus on the old brewery grounds. They incorporated the brick with a mix-medium approach, better massing, and a great street-wall. This one will get distroyed (hopefully) at the review panel.

I don't understand blaming Gregor on the design of some the new development. He and Vision have allowed a development boom -they just rubber stamp whatever the urban design review panel recommend. If he actually got involved with design there would be farms on the roof and bicycle storage on the first floor, etc....
