I’ve put together a group of photos that I’ve taken of Denver over the last couple years - odds and ends really. They were shot from April 2010 until about July of 2012. There is a little bit of everything in here and in appear from oldest to newest for the most part (Flickr re-arranged a couple on the upload), so without further ado…
The Navarre - This little historic building (1880) is actually a fortress. Denver billionaire Philip Anshutz bought and restored this structure to house his art collection. He recently opened it as the American Museum of Western Art with limited public viewing. The Museum is said to rival such revered American collections such as the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth.
The next few photos were taken in and around the Denver Art Museum - for any Vincent van Gogh fans out there the museum is currently staging ‘Becoming Van Gogh’. Seven years in the making, the exhibit is a DAM exclusive featuring over seventy works by the artist as well as another thirty by those who influenced him such as Emile Bernard, Camille Pissarro, Paul Signac, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Georges Seurat.

And this last shot I took recently - great angle - too bad I forgot my tripod and remote and I just couldn’t remain still enough to do it justice. It didn’t help that it was about 15 degrees out. I’m going to try again with the proper gear.
