Like I said... That building has a nice ceiling... But how is it significant to people? Or how can it be used... Looking good isnt always enough... I defiantly think that making that a lobby to the arts center would be worth looking in to... Open up the walls between the pillars... That would be one hell of a grand lobby.
I don't think that it's realistically going to be move across the street though... So why not talk to the designer and see if it can be incorporated.. Might be kind of cool.

That's not a gift, it's called ignorance.
It could be used as an art gallery as it was before, it could also be used as an awesome retail space, or it could be used as a grand entrance into an office or residential tower.
The city council has already halted any additional funding past what has already been approved (18 million) towards the theater to consider what is obviously the better alternative across the street. The site preparation (which the city will be paying for) will cost substantially less across the street since the site is already mostly cleared.
