Is crossing the Causeway actually much of a barrier at all? The dam is perfectly placed for a direct 14 St route and it does have the capability for a single lane. It is only about 250 meters long so I would think that sub 5 minute headways could easily be accommodated using the damn. Even 2 minute headways should be theoretically possible, notwithstanding other capacity constraints.
Has the city even bothered to take a serious look at using the dam or was it never considered since they wanted the BRT to hit MRU?
