Cameco is waiting for completion of an office conversion of a former furniture store downtown, something like 60-90 employees are to be working in that space; they are also currently constructing a $20-30 million office across the street from their current head office, I think its around 68,000 sq feet, probably ~ 2-3 floors.

Yeah, that's what some of us are thinking. There has been many smaller office buildings going up, and some adaptive reuse occurring in the older buildings. I have very little knowledge on our Downtown office vacancy/demand (I searched, but only found data from 2006).

I'm glad as well, as long as citizens and downtown businesses keep up the pressure for a more vibrant downtown, we should expect better things in the future.
