Who would have thought that Salt Lake would be developing in such a way. it is great how everything is moving so fast, and creating a dense feel to the city. taking from the post about Lehi and the subject matter of architecture, It would be really great to have someone build an Architectural marvel closer to the Center to rival Lehi.
As for the Gateway, I have no problem with the style, tacky as it may seem, it is better than an under used, neglected, and forgoten area that it once held its self to be. As for the buildings themsleves, they do not hold, nor do they offer any sentimental value. The way I figure is, unless I'm the one going to the HomeDepot (which i would do willingly) buying the supplies and materials to help create the buildings, I cant really get to bent out of shape about it.
