I love development, and want to see more happening in Saskatoon. I will say that I'm glad the new Casino is NOT in Saskatoon. Gambling can be a very addictive habit. I know people that have lost a lot due to gambling. Most people can gamble and control how much they lose, but for some people it's a desease. I think the biggest reason the casino was not built in Saskatoon was due to this reason, and I'm glad it wasn't.
I'm not against casinos, but think that we don't need to rely on a casino to boost our economy. If people really want to gamle, then they can make the effort to drive out there. There are also free shuttle buses that will take people out there.
