That gate 17 pic from YOW is interesting.
Looks like the airport is getting ready to add VDGS on some gates. You can clearly see 3 metal poles near the terminal, in front of the lead-in lines for gate 17, 17A and 17B. They will most likely be used for a visual docking guidance system.
