The one factor that was under Canada's control is that we recently grew by 1.1-1.2 million in one year. As pro immigration as I've been my whole life (with over two decades on this forum), that's too much, and increasing the population that quickly for a smaller country (pop wise) like Canada creates problems in the fastest growing Metros. Moncton Rad should know, his Metro is one of them.

There’s no doubt. Some of that is due to the war in Ukraine though. The biggest noticeable number of immigrants I see here are Ukrainians. I agree though that we are importing too many people and that’s straining our insufficient resources.
