I doubt it makes much of a difference with sunlight. As VCC gets built out it's more likely the podium will be fairly dark most of the time considering how low it is compared to further up Broadway.

I mean if the towers get to this height on the VCC Campus redevelopment

That only strengthens my case - the west part of the site gets minimal shadowing from new mid-rises south of 6th and gets the most light, while the east is boxed in by towers
