This tower needs a good washing. Those windows look dusty as hell.

I believe they are actually painting the vertical concrete part, not polishing it. Today it is now the same dark color as the underside of the balconies and look so so so much better

^^ That's great to hear! Look forward to seeing photos since I don't get downtown as much as I'd like these days.

I'm pretty sure that the renderings showed this as well. I distinctly remember at least one rendering where the concrete parts were painted dark grey just as you're describing.

Haha yes you win
Thanks for the photos Keith
I feel like those upper silver panels would have looked nice on the main exposed vertical part. It would bring the silver down in the building instead of only being at the top. I think I notice it more with the glass being more blue than how the renders depicted it

Glad the video starts with those awful blank walls ( north and west) that help show what a bore that building is at street level on 2 sides. Especially how it turned a big ugly blank wall on the beautiful Bremond block. Truly bad urban design. Just tall.

The painted concrete looks good from afar. It really blends better. You can still see the concrete, but it's less of a distraction.

Nothing from what I understand as it is a historical landmark. I thought I remember reading that the house will have some renovation done but no major changes.

That sucks. Wasn’t it previously a law office? Wish they could turn it into something cool.

Looking at Downtown from south Austin, it appears the east facing side is lit tonight.

I wonder if the vertical band of lights is just the stairwell lighting shining through.

Nice!

It appears a lot brighter than just stairwell lighting to me.

Nice indeed. Why would they have window cut outs in stair core though? I don’t think one can see through them.
