London Markets

I thought that I would create a dedicated thread for London Area (farmers) Markets (e.g., Covent Garden, Western Fair, Gibralter Weekend, Trail's End....does Unger's count?).

Speaking of which, Trail's End (just outside of London, in Thorndale) has been ordered to close due to fire risks.

Trails End Market in Thorndale, Ont., ordered to close for fire risks

Quote:
The Trails End Market typically operates every Saturday and Sunday, and is home to a variety of food, furniture and collectible vendors.

It will remain closed until it satisfies inspection orders laid out by the fire department, which will complete a follow-up inspection before people can return to the property.

In 1993, a fire destroyed the London Sales Arena, which existed in the same location as the Trails End Market does today. The fire department said current structures at the market "exhibit many of the same issues identified when the previous building was destroyed."
