New 3-tower rental proposal (actually announced two months ago, but I missed it). Should sail through approvals and other preliminaries. It's technically just north of Toronto's border, on the northeast corner of Yonge/Steeles in Thornhill, if one wants to nitpick.

7015 Yonge Street: a proposed 65, 60 & 46-storey mixed-use purpose-built rental & daycare development designed by Wallman Architects for Times Group on the northeast corner of Yonge Street & Steeles Avenue in Markham's Thornhill neighbourhood.

Phase 1 is the 46-storey tower. Phase 2 comprises the other two taller towers. No height available for the 60-storey building. Info and pics courtesy UT.

Would these be the tallest skyscrapers in Thronhill? Also, that's an incredibly dense cluster of skyscrapers for the edge of Toronto. It would put most American downtowns to shame.

I'm not sure. koops or Maldive might know. Floating around somewhere there's a render of what is planned for Yonge/Steeles, and it's crazily dense (or was, if it hasn't been downsized since), similar to Eglinton between Yonge and Mt. Pleasant, and SE of Yonge/Bloor. I have no clue how much of this stuff will actually come to fruition.
