MIAMI | 1210 NW 2nd Ave | 575 FT | 55 FLOORS

From a personal standpoint, and seeing that this project is proposed to be a Live Local Act project, I fully support this project, and many others in the future similar to this one, to be built in Overtown, Miami's Harlem!

According to the blog The Next Miami, the project has been approved! Can't wait for this one to be completed!

There's something wrong about trying to celebrate black culture with the murals, but yet, those people not being able to afford to live here despite whatever Live Local Act is implemented here. What the State did in Overtown neighborhood with the spaghetti of highway interchanges was egregious and this building is kind of throwing it in the face of those displaced people.

I'm just hoping that the developers can follow up with the Live Local Act and provide up to 40% of their units as affordable. It would be upsetting if the developers do not allow affordable units, especially in that neighborhood. All we can do is hope that the Live Local Act takes precedence with this project. Love the project, but considering that this is Overtown, there has to be serious consideration of the current populace.
