Stadiums with the best views

What open air stadium has the best views (skyline, landmarks, natural features) from within the stadium? This question naturally favors baseball stadiums but it can be an open air stadium of any sport.

My pick is PNC Park in Pittsburgh, and probably Petco Park in San Diego as a very close second place.

I'll throw in Oracle Park (fka Pacific Bell Park and AT&T Park) into the running as well. Great views of the Bay and McCovey Cove from the seating area, and views of the skyline and Bay Bridge from the concourses.

It's PNC Park, then everyone else, USA-wise. Internationally, I have to give it to Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town.

Pittsburgh's PNC takes the trophy on this IMO, at least amomg MLB ballparks.

Chicago dropped the ball on this by orienting not just one, but both of its MLB ballparks, to face away from downtown.

Whoops.



At least Wrigley still has a decent skyline view of sorts of the residential towers along the lake in east Lakeview.

Not the best ballpark view in the majors, but certainly still good.

Loan Depot Park (Marlins) should have a great skyline view but they only left a relatively small window open to the skyline. Domes are no fun. You have to be sitting in the right seats to be able to see the view:

You should at least get good views of planes in and out of OAK and take offs from SFO from that vantage point. I regret never catching a game there.

Not sure, Wrigley Field (or rather Weeghman Park as it was first named) wasn't built until 1914.

Folsom Field at the University of Colorado Boulder (which has been getting a lot of national exposure the last couple of years) has fantastic mountain views.

Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The building itself is a beautiful timeless classic, and you can get some nice downtown skyline and mountain views from the upper levels.
