Hello! I didn’t see a thread on this one and figured why not? This is Four25, an affordable housing project by CoSA with a focus towards homeless families and will feature a children’s playground, a dog park, a resident garden, a fitness center and a community room. It’s more or less across the street from the QT off Elmira for those familiar to the area.
The 30.4 million dollar 80 unit complex will be paid for by 7.5 million from the 2017-2022 San Antonio construction bond, 17.5 million in federal low-income housing tax credits, a 1 million loan from the San Antonio Housing Trust Foundation plus a 3.2 million dollar mortgage secured through housing vouchers. The floor count and height are my estimate from the render as I can’t seem to find schematics anywhere (assuming 12 feet slab-to-slab, if anyone has the details let me know to update!)
I passed by it earlier and a crane has gone up and the first floor is being built. Exciting to finally see affordable housing being built, it’s my hope San Antonio becomes an ‘outreach city’, that is one with a focus on helping the needy and expanding family/single development on top of hospitality and tourism.
