OMAHA | Nebraska Medical Center Tower | FT | FLOORS

The University of Nebraska Medical Center announced a very large expansion. Building expected to be between 380-400 feet tall and between 18-20 floors with ~1.2 million SF. Apparently expected to cost in excess of $2 billion (I think that might include some additional work on campus). This would become the 4th tallest in Omaha.

Excited to see the final renderings of this new hospital. It will be a nice addition to the Med Center skyline.

For perspective, the Leid Center in the background is reportedly 230 ft. tall.

This looks great! Thanks for sharing the renderings. Have you heard any updates on the height of the new hospital?

Here is a look at the site for this project. You can also see the first building and parking garage for the rest of the campus being built as shown in the rendering.

The road on the left edge of the photo is the corridor the streetcar will operate on.

Site prep continues for Project Health. They stated that groundbreaking will take place next year and construction will then take place over 7 years. Height still expected to be approximately 400 ft.

As someone mentioned before. This will be the 4th tallest building in the city.

Mutual of Omaha - 677 ft - construction complete 2026
First National - 634 ft
Woodmen of the World Life Insurance - 478 ft
UNMC Hospital - 400ft - Under construction

Hoping for another high rise in the near future.
