New office buildings in Midtown.

Since there probably won't be any new office buildings built in Midtown (or anywhere else in the metro), which proposed office building would you WANT to be built 1st during the next building cycle?

Each proposed building would replace a vacant lot or surface parking.

Probably Cousins. We need more height in that area. It's also likely to be built sooner since it's now mixed use.

I'm fine with selig holding off on the office and starting the apartment tower for midtown exchange.

Stratus Midtown seems at least 3-5 years away.

I vote (write in) we should be getting the Legends Towers. Hell just about any LARGE city other than midsized Oklahoma City should get it.

If you are going to dream you might as well dream BIG.

It is NOT a one or the other poll. It is a poll about "wishing" to ADD proposed projects that didn't happen and all but certainly won't. Since the chance of any of these being resurrected is likely Opus odds then might as well move beyond for the fun of it.

Not excited about any of these projects at all.

If I had to choose, Portman.

It seems so painfully obvious to me that a medium height (10-20 story) brick residential building would fit absolutely perfectly there. Seems like a situation where the result could be greater than the sum of its parts as the developer could really double down on the brick/old south vibe of that small node of midtown.

Meh, I’d rather that site just be more mixed use residential. Add another 15 stories or not, but yes let’s add more people there.

I don't mind having a glass building here, Midtown is full of contrasting architecture with glass next to brick next to PoMo granite. I also don't mind the height, tall is a good thing here (or at least density in general, regardless of height). But I agree about land use - office is just not needed here (hence why there's been no tenants announced) and the parking deck on this is massive. A parking deck this large shouldn't be allowed literally on the same block as a MARTA station.

1 of the last remaining vacant superblocks in Midtown. The big hole is killing the walkability and the urban fabric of the sub-district.
Maybe that's one of the reasons so many voters want Midtown Exchange to get underway rather sooner than later.

I agree. From the perspective of how the buildings are designed for the pedestrian, its the only one that's decent. The other two, especially the Midtown Exchange need to be exchanged for a more pedestrian oriented plan.
