MIAMI | One Edgewater (510 NE 34th Street) | 500 FT | 43 FLOORS

Plans Revealed For 43-Story One Edgewater, With Robotic Garage

Quote:
Plans have just been filed with Miami planners for a new residential tower called One Edgewater.

The application was made by an Aimco affiliate, along with another LLC.

Aimco also completed renovations last year at The Hamilton (276 units) and recently entered construction permitting for a 60-story tower next door called Hamilton House (241 units).

The new One Edgewater is planned to rise 43 stories, or 500 feet, and include:

204 apartments
1,614 square feet of commercial space
co-working and amenity space
301 parking spaces in a fully robotic garage
A letter from a lobbyist asks for parking stall width and drive aisle width waivers, stating:

“The Property will be served by the existing parking garage at the [Hamilton] with 468 spaces, the proposed garage at the [60-story Hamilton House] with 380 parking spaces), and a new fully automated parking garage at the [One Edgewater] Parcel with room for 301 cars. Together, the plan will provide more parking than Miami 21 requires.”

“All parking at the [One Edgewater] Project will be automated with the exception of ground floor parking which will be valet-operated. Above the ground floor, robotic platforms operating on digital tracks will move cars stored there. Neither drivers nor valet attendants will be allowed to access parking levels above the ground floor.”

Miami’s Urban Development Review Board is scheduled to have a hearing on the One Edgewater proposal on February 15.

Miami’s commission is scheduled to have a hearing on a proposal to close off Northeast 34th Street to build a pedestrian plaza on February 23.

Stantec is the architect.
