It is proposed to construct a six-storey mixed-use building on the Subject Property. The, building will Include two commercial units on the ground floor and 37 apartment units. A one-level underground parking garage will provide 9 parking spaces.
Nice. This will fill in a significant gap on Preston. I like the scale. A 6 story building can make more of a visual impact at street level than a high rise

Glad to see this type of human scale development. Always worried that the towers would march north from Carling. Much prefer concentrating towers around transit stations and preserving these traditional main streets at a smaller scale. Gives more variety and lets light down to street level.
Those three towers are supposed to have a grocery store, so hoping those. Or at least, the tower with the grocery store.
Will be nice to have a continuous street wall and removing nearly all surface parking. Too bad Dow's Lake Station wasn't double tracked as part of Stage 2. Hoping the City/Province/Hospital can figure this out before the opening of the new Civic.
1503839 Ontario Inc. is proposing to develop a six-storey mixed-use building at 357-363 Preston Street. This building will have two commercial units on the ground floor and part of the second storey. 37 residential units will be provided on the five storeys above. These units will range in size from studio to 2-bedroom apartments. The commercial units will have at-grade entrances on Preston Street, while access to the residential units will be provided on Aberdeen Street. A number of the residential units will have balconies.
The proposed building will contain a rooftop terrace for the communal use of residents. This terrace will be accessible via an elevator and stairs to the roof. A private rooftop terrace for the penthouse suite will also be provided. The building will include 9 shared parking spaces for tenants and visitors. These spaces will be located underground and will be accessed to the rear of the building using a ramp off Aberdeen Street. 26 bike parking spaces will also be provided on the ground floor.
No doubt it will be appreciated by nearby residents who bank with TD, and there's probably not much else that can fit here, but it's still kind of a dud. Really looking forward to the development that will remove the massive surface parking. Should have some important essentials.
Good! Start building up that street a bit more. Too much junior detached building fabric still left around there. Perfect little project for a street like this.
Welcoming the beginning of the end of parking lot in the heart of downtown. One of the biggest eye-sores in the city. Basic design but good amount of mix use density. I'll take it!
