ZERO percent chance the brick and windows will be nearly as good quality as those renderings.

Nothing spectacular. But it fits the classic red brick Ottawa vibe. So I like it.

Good scale and nice look to this project. Starts to finally grow that part of town into something a bit more urban.

The ground floor of this will have a "a bespoke French restaurant," according to this sponsored content article:

The Posthouse will be a 6-storey, 60 unit building located at 377 Winona Avenue. Local boutique firm CSV Architects drew inspiration from warehouse conversions in New York to center the building on the history of the community. The interior will reflect one of the original owners of the property, William Lowry, who served as Westboro’s Postmaster in the late 1800s. The exterior is a classic red brick façade, the fixtures and finishes are inspired by the original home, and the ground floor will feature a bespoke French restaurant designed by Dryden Architecture and Design (DAAD). Cozy, yet upscale, the restaurant will be called Elise after William Lowry’s wife, and the construction will integrate over 1000 sqft of brick from the original home. William and Elise Lowry’s legacy will serve as the center of Azure’s skyline.

https://posthousebyazure.ca/

The Posthouse by Azure takes the history of its past, and transforms it into a vision of boutique modernity. The warehouse design emulates the vintage style of the site's predecessor, while remaining inherently modern in its symmetrical forms and geometrical harmony.

The site of the Posthouse once belonged to a couple, the Postmaster of the property, William Lowry, and his wife, Eliza. As an homage, we have named our french-bistro inspired restaurant, Elise. Elise will be a neighbourhood hotspot unlike any other. With a focus on quality bites inspired purely from the best of French cuisine, Elise will bring an entirely new vibe to the Westboro food scene. The Posthouse by Azure takes Westboro living, and heightens it.

Opening in Summer 2024
