30 & 100 Villagewalk Boulevard - three 9s (Under Construction)

A zoning application for two 12 story apartment buildings on Villagewalk Blvd. These would be just north of the commercial retail block at NW corner of Sunningdale and Richmond.

The developer is Cridon Investments

Resubmitted site plan approval application for this property. Looks like they are combining 100 Villagewalk and 30 Villagewalk together, as it's the same developer and building design on both sites.

30 Villagewalk is at the northwest corner of Villagewalk and Richmond.

100 Villagewalk will have the two 12s buildings as mentioned before, and 30 Villagewalk will have one 12s building.

That said, could a moderator please change the thread title to "30 & 100 Villagewalk Blvd - 3 12s"

Looks like they reduced the heights on the original proposal from 12s to 9s and broaden the footprint.

I think the zoning is already there, as this is just a site-plan application.

The public meeting for this site-plan application will be on October 23rd at the Planning and Environment committee meeting.

Wow. This'll be interesting to see whenever I come to this part of London again. It blows me away that this was just farmland a few years ago. I guess the nearby big buildings won't look quite so lonely in this part of North London.

And I saw big buildings compared to bungalows and farmland.

Wonder who Cridon will hire to be the general contractor on this? Middlesex Concrete Forming, CF, Ellis Don, Hayman? Still no progress on the retail buildings across the street by York. Wonder if they are waiting out the Sunningdale/Richmond St intersection rebuild which is also still stalled for some reason. Why they haven't started now that we are well into nice weather is a mystery.

Heavy equipment now doing some earth moving which is likely site prep on the NE corner of Village Walk and Royal Oaks Bend.

It's a total shame that this was proposed as a "Village" hence the name which was going to be main street shops with residential on top and now its just residential. Maybe they should change the name from "VillageWalk" to TowerDrive.

Site prep work continues with heavy equipment working the west side block of this project. Some large boulders are now piled up onsite either brought in for retention wall purposes along the north side or having been dug up as part of site prep.

A HCM caisson drilling rig is now onsite drilling the perimeter pilings. First steps in the underground parking garage level and foundation.

HCM foundation contractor continues work on the west block, drilling pilings and installing shoring for the excavation of the pit for the foundation and underground parking level. Will be interesting to see who the general contractor will be on the build and if they intend to setup 2 tower cranes and build both buildings at the same time given they will have likely a shared underground parking. Most likely they will build the first building before starting the second.

The Caisson drilling rig has now been removed from the site as they have likely completed the piling installation. Still installing the shoring wall tie backs. Excavators are working to dig the pit now for the one level of underground parking and foundation footings. Getting closer to seeing the tower crane base being installed.

No idea if this is an error on the city's construction map website or not... but if you go there and pan over to the project location on Villagewalk Blvd, you'll see a construction marker for the shoring work that's currently happening, and you'll also see that the contact is Auburn Developments...

https://maps.london.ca/renewlondon

If this is accurate, then this is completely news to me as I can't find anywhere online that this is an Auburn project, unless Cridon is an Auburn subsidiary (like we see for other big local developers) or there was a recent land sale.

Might be a typo or legacy error as I believe the housing north of this was built by Auburn Homes over a decade ago.

So Auburn Developments is the owner, developer and general contractor with Cridon Investments acting as the financial lender on the project?
