520 Sarnia Rd - 8s

Horizen Developments is proposing a 8 story apartment building just west of Sarnia and Wonderland road intersection. 129 units with surface parking.

Planning documents on the project page state that this proposed building will be geared towards students (as UWO is nearby).

Looks like Demo crews have started on the plaza building that is currently on site. When I was driving by they have half the building already demolished.

This is good news to see demolition started. Wonder if Horizon Developments has got a Detailed Site Plan application approved or a Building Permit approved yet? The other challenge is finding a general contractor who can build a low rise building. Might be looking at a fenced empty lot for a while.

most of the building is gone now. Drove past it this morning.
