Suggestion about buying a new home

Hey there,
My grandparents are living in Alberta. As they get old and need proper care about the health and other lifestyles, we forced them to stay along with us, but they refuse to stay with us. Then we put forward another suggestion to purchase a home nearby us so that we could reach them quickly in case of any emergency. While searching for a new home, my friend suggested buying a condo is more flexible than buying a home. What do you guys think about this. Which one is better, a condo or a home.
I would be grateful if you guys share your thoughts on this.
Thanks!

In your situation, a condo is usually the more practical choice. It reduces maintenance since things like snow removal and repairs are handled, which is important as they get older. It’s also easier to find a condo closer to you, making it quicker to reach them in emergencies.

A house gives more privacy, but it comes with ongoing upkeep, which can become difficult over time. This guide explains it well: https://www.gta-homes.com/blog/condo-vs-house-which-is-better/
