Old Ottawa East Road Reconstruction

The city is planning major roadworks in Old Ottawa East encompassing Greenfield, Main, Hawthorne, Echo Drive and Colonel By Drive. Hawthorne to be developed according to "traditional main street" principles. Details:

Now if only they could figure out how to connect the multi-use path along the train line to the end of Greenfield, this would actually work out.

I agree; it was disappointing to see that a sidewalk was built along the west side of Lees south of Greenfield, rather than a MUP that could have provided that connection.
