Cranes in downtown Ottawa - map

Just have a few minutes left at work, and I thought I'd whip this up.

Red - Current cranes erected in Ottawa / Gatineau
Blue - recent cranes removed in the past few months
Green - future cranes (within the next year)

I know I've missed a few (pinnacle, ismali immat (sp?))... it's a work in progress. Just trying to limit it to the downtown area for now.

Suggestions more than welcome. I'll work on it as time allows, then I thought I'd start a thread in the Canada section to compare to other cities..

What's going where the green one is? 180 Kent?

I think that's mondrian. 180 Kent is one of the two red ones (the other being Hudson Park).

Ottawa-Gatineau Crane Index

As you might know there is such a thing as Crane Index. It doesn't list Ottawa but I thought it would be interesting to maintain our own index here to track the state of construction in Ottawa/Gatineau. Not only to compare it to other cities but also to see how it changes over time.

I'll start with cranes I see from my window. Please add cranes you see outside and remove those that go down.
Obviously we are talking about tower cranes that are currently standing. As soon as a crane goes down it should be removed from the index.

To add a new crane quote last post in the thread, remove "QUOTE" tags and add your crane to the list, preferably with the link to corresponding SSP thread. Don't worry to mess things up. Somebody will correct it if there is a problem.

Let's see if this idea takes off.

If somebody wants to make and maintain a map, that would be a great addition.

There is at least one crane (maybe two) operating in Gatineau (secteur Gatineau) on the site of the new Gatineau Olympiques arena/multi ice pad/parking garage complex. I believe the address is 520 Boulevard de la Cité.

There is also a crane that's always up in the Richelieu industrial area near the Casino. But that's a crane rental place I am almost positive. As opposed to a construction site.
