Brilliant, just like the other pictorials of small northern English, Scottish, and Welsh towns you've posted here over the years.

I can't believe this is Wales. I remember some palm trees in Cork and thinking they were totally out of place, but this is even better.

Beautiful! I've been to Portmeirion and my parents used to have a house near Aberdovey. I love Wales. Thanks for the lovely virtual visit.

And can we all agree that the Welsh flag is hands-down the coolest national flag around?

Fantastic - at some point you must do a retrospetive of all these cool towns.

(Assuming you don't get carried off by a large white ball first).

Kept thinking I'd see the Moomin family in one of those houses.

Absolutely stunning. I was just wondering, are these towns strictly tourist based or is there some industry which supports them? Like Ireland with its stunning small towns, I have always wondered how these villagers make a living. Thanks in advance.

Very nice! Do I spot a couple of pics of Llanrwst and Lake Vrynwy at the end there?

Other then tourism and agriculture there isn't much in the way of industry in NW Wales, just the usual things you get anywhere like education, healthcare, public administration, retail, transport etc for jobs

Lovely photos! It was autumn when I visited Portmeirion, so it's nice to see it in the summer, even if vicariously.

Another bit of TV trivia (since you mentioned The Prisoner and others have mentioned the palms and Mediterranean look): Portmeirion was also used in the '70s by Doctor Who ("The Masque of Mandragora") to double as an Italian village.
