I do not know where the guyed mast shown on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwkB9QTKVw4 stands, but it seems to have just a cross section of 2 metres. If it is really 540 metres tall, than itsheight:width ratio would be 270 :1! Do you know a thinner tower-type structure?
The narrator mentions OSHA, which is American (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), and there is an array of similar height towers around it, plus one much taller.
I'm guessing this is in Nebraska, or possibly South Dakota.
First of all, I introduce yourself that Jesse, today I just joined here, I was just a working person, do not have what experience, hope can and everybody mutual communication, give me some Suggestions, thank you
um.. no i meant that the guy wires are an inseparably cohesive part of the structure... so why wouldn't they count in a measurement of wideness? thats like saying an elevator shaft of an office building is so thin without counting the surrounding structural contents.
