Recently did a walking tour or Downtown LA covering the Bunker Hill, Historic Core, and South Park neighborhoods. Downtown LA has come a long way in the last few years with numerous new restaurants, bars, apartments, condos, and entertainment venues opening. Many visitors to LA just check out the Financial District or Bunker Hill on weekends or evenings and comment how dead it is not realizing that all the foot traffic in downtown is in the Historic Core and South Park neighborhoods. These two neighborhoods couldn't be any different (South Park: New contruction vs Historic Core: Old building restoration) but both are up and coming and filled with pedestrians after hours and on weekends. Enjoy!
New art installation
Angels Flight: Funicular railway in Bunker Hill finally reopened in 2010 after being closed since 2001. Costs only 25 cents a ride!
Grand Central Market
Art Installation at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA)
Walt Disney Concert Hall
Notice the snow capped mountains in the background
City Hall
Angels Knoll Park: Played a starring role in the movie "500 Days of Summer"
High rise vs. low rise apartment living
Ritz Carlton & JW Marriott Hotels at LA Live: Downtown LA's first new skyscraper in almost 20 years!
LA Live was packed with people coming for the NBA All Star game
Grammy Museum at LA Live: The city has done a poor job of marketing this museum to both tourists and residents. So many people don't even know it exists
Feel bad for the suckers who got conned into this, I paid only $3 for parking at a lot just 3 blocks away!
Nice. LA's downtown is underrated sometimes. I especially like the section of older buildings. LA has a huge stock of oldies that few cities that far west have.

I love days like that for taking photos. Clear blue skies with contrasted with white, fluffy clouds. Usually the day after a big rain. Great photos, thanks!
