Omaha: A Bright, Sunny Day!...Or Not...

These were taken yesterday evening while I had some time to kill. This is not at all a glamorous part of Downtown so I enjoyed the chance to showcase something that's part of an overall pretty picture, but is often hidden away for it's lack of people and activity. Who wants to look at that?

So enjoy seeing a part of town most locals haven't seen.

Love the wide angles. Definitely they add to the emptiness portrayed. Good work!

Thank you. I like being able to show off the unseen parts of town that aren't chamber of commerce photos. I'm glad you liked them.

Those are some of the worst pictures I have ever seen. I read Omaha and my eyes lit up, but your underexposed, blurry, cell phone pics don't make me feel satisfied.

I try to avoid cliche and convention. It bores me. I try to show things differently and convey different feelings of a place. This isn't the prettiest part of town so I didn't show it in the prettiest light. Also these "cell phone" pictures are blurry on purpose. I don't expect my work like this to win a lot of fans because it takes more to appreciate something not readily beautiful. Those who get it, get it. Those who don't, don't. Thanks for the comments though.
