National Olympic Team Uniforms

New Zealand 2010

it looks like they got the memo about Vancouver's mild climate and the ceremonies venue. :p I would imagine Vancouver's ceremonies could be by far the best attended in recent memory with athletes not having to worry about catching a cold.

Olympic uniform design unveiled
VANCOUVER/CKNW(AM980)

10/1/2009

Red and white with black and gray trim, that's the design of the new athlete's uniform for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and Whistler.

The design was unveiled this morning at the newly-opened Olympic superstore in downtown Vancouver.

As well, the downtown Bay store is completely draped in huge banners of athletes wearing the new uniforms.

There are a lot of individual items that I would buy and have in my wardrobe.

I'm glad they didn't try for a highly-designed aesthetic. Just good solid, traditional pieces. I like the knit sweaters and plaid toques, definitely buying some.

But which pieces are exclusive for athletes?

Here's the link for the HBC olympic clothing site http://www.hbc.com/en/index.html

my favourites:

Only because it's kinda trendy right now. Ia ctually have a grey, black, white one similar to this from Club Monaco.

Some of it is terrible, like the moose jacket, but some of it is quite decent and i would buy just for a souvenir.

It's definitely better than Beijing, but more or less the same as Torino.
