The Oceanaire on 14th and Arapahoe? (the Curtis Tower base across from the 4S).

Not sure about salads, but their seafood is FTW.

I love these kinds of questions..

I think Fruition would be perfect, at least as far as food. I've had a very quiet, special dinner there when we had a table by the window, but I've also had a bright, noisy dinner in the other seating area.

Bistro Vendome might be better. They have some excellent fish dishes on their menu. And with Bistro Vendome, you can stroll around under the lights of Larimer Square afterwards. The dining room at night is pretty romantic.

Jax 17th and Blake has excellent seafood and is intimate. Venice at 17th and Wyncoop is Italian, but has some wonderful seafood dishes and salads. Vendome (as mentioned earlier) is a wonderful place, as is Rioja on Larimer. Cherry Creek is filled with nice intimate places too.

Jax is by FAR the best seafood in town. It's not exactly romantic, however....

Our favorite romantic spot is Bistro Vendome in Larimer Square. This time of year, get a table out on the patio. It's really really nice.

Z'Cuisine in Highland is another incredibly good French (ish) restaurant. Romantic in a parisian sort of way.

You also can't go wrong with Rioja (also Larimer
Square). Food is incredible, atmosphere is great.
