Burrard Inlet Fireworks Show - ticketed viewing at Canada Place

Canada Day fireworks are back! Presented by the Burrard Inlet Fireworks Society, the two barge show begins at 10:30pm. Enjoy the closest view of the fireworks in a secure setting at Canada Place. Admission to Canada Place will be limited. Tickets are $10 per person. Stay tuned for detailed information on how to purchase your ticket. Net proceeds from the donations will be given to the Strathcona Community Centre’s Food Security for Children Program, providing kids on the downtown eastside with hot food year-round. More...

So another typically boring Canada Day like every year. The Surrey one sounds interesting, however....but it's pretty far. I guess I will be chilling with friends on my balcony watching the fireworks like I do every year.

they have had them for a few years at ambelside in west van - we walked out to stanley park and watched one year along with a few hundred other people who knew about them, the police even drove in their car around the seawall due to the hundred of people gathered on that one side of stanley park

Correct me if I am thinking of another day, but did they not have fireworks off Canada Place last year? I seem to remember sitting at the top of Sentinel Hill in WV watching the WV and Vancouver shows simultaneously.

Left coaster is correct, there were fireworks last year at Canada Place as well as the year before after a few years of no fireworks. There will be fireworks again this year as well.

I'm going to be in Paris … I wonder if there'd be any Canadians celebrating there somewhere?

We had Canada Day fireworks on July 1, 2003...the night before we won the Olympic bid. That was the last time we had them until 2007, when we had a duo show at Coal Harbour and Ambleside...and again for 2008 and 2009.

So here is one thing why the events @ Canada Place can't be confirmed yet. It is because they did not update their website and when you click on "special events"...it is still the old table for last year.

I don't know why it is taking them so long to change everything. Also, the HBC Run website is still in 2008 as well.

I'm pretty sure that there will be something happening at the embassy. There usually is something happening at such places especially in London.

I believe the embassy in Paris is close to Arc de Triomphe, just off Avenue des Champs-Elysees.
