Saint Louis/Clayton/The Moorlands

The gf and I walked over to Manhattan Cafe/Starbucks and had an early lunch at the outside seating along Wydown. I snapped some pics on the way.

FYI, The Moorlands neighborhood is located in the very inner burb of Clayton, MO just steps from the St. Louis City line, Washington University, and roughly 10min drive to downtown StL. This section of the Moorlands is up for nomination to become a national historic district this May 15. This thread covers only 1 of many blocks in the neighborhood and the neighboring Wydown business district. Deserving? More to come...Enjoy!

Wow, what are the chances you would have wandered into my old neighborhood? You didn't happen to have meandered down Cromwell Dr. while you were there, did you?

Many of these apartment blocks looks eerily familiar, including this one. I imagine most of these places have since been converted to condo's.

I should head out to Clayton sometime for lunch and a Cardinals game on the Tee.

Urban and Sub-Urban suburbs are a reason for the St. Louis areas livability.

Thanks guys,

Vertex, I did indeed make it over to Cromwell.

I'm working uploading the the remainder of the pics and selecting ones I'd like to post. My question to you guys is, should I post part 2 here, or in a separate thread?

thx

Gorgeous neighborhood. Just out of curiosity, why is it being considered for inclusion as a National Historic District?
