can anyone shed any light?

It is a very small property. Cannot seeing it happening. There is not enough parking most days.

this is my backyard.

it's possible. I always park in the back and enter through the mall. no one ever parks back there. It's like if the parking isn't in front it doesn't exist.

I think it could be done. It's busy but there are stores in there that don't contribute to the traffic. the indy guys.

As a box it could keep the Home Hardware, Rogers, Supermarket, Beer Store, KFC, PharmaPlus, Subway, Dollarrama and CIBC. It would most likely include a new Tim Hortons drive thru site. Maybe the Upper Horning one would move there.

Everything else is gone. the little jewelery guy, the dress shop, the art store, health food store, fish and chips, physio place, travel agent and insurance agent and the nail/spa place. all gone.

It would be such a shame, the internal mall is a mini refuge in the depth of winter. I'd never thought I'd miss a mini mall like that. But these malls are disappearing and being replaced with the worst type of retail ever.

It did take forever to find a store for the LCBO location.

Watch out for the plaza further west. The McDonals location has been closed and not filled for years. Now the sports bar is closed. It also has offices above ground retail. what were they thinking? Mixed use building!!! I could see that place going box too.
Shoppers, supermarket, RBC, TD, Tim Hortons

I live like 10 minutes walk from Westcliffe. I remember the old donut shop place where all the old ginos hang out and smoke, of course they would buy a small cup of coffee and spend at least two hours talking. There would be a lot of sad people in the hood if Golden Fish and Chip was forced to close, a weekend like this I swear there was thousands of people.

The other one is Harvard Square, Effort Trust owns it, including all the towers. That's a place I could see demalling. Effort Trust is a partner in that big box called Heritage Green. I think they've been going into the big box business.

Either one of these malls needs a Tim Hortons badly. There's no Tim Hortons in the West end past Upper James expect Horning St, which is tiny.

Fish and chips is a Good Friday tradition for alot of Catholics. We always do fish and chips on Good Friday and prepare to wait at least an hour in line.

For that place the minimum waiting time is 2 hours.
