Change Camp Ottawa

Change Camp is an attempt to bring together citizens, advocacy groups and government in the same space using a unique web-inspired format to put forward new ways of thinking about local policy at various levels of government. From the website the idea seems to be stimulating public/city relations in person the same open way it would be conducted online on wikis, twitter, etc.

This sounds like a good venue for the opinions SSP Ottawa forum'ers have about the way the city is run to actually get summarized and presented to people from the city and perhaps the NCC as well. Ottawa Change Camp is scheduled to happen at city hall May 16th. From what I understand things are still in the planning phases, but its never too early for anyone here to start attending those meetings or planning something to present.

There is a very rough wiki for the event http://wiki.changecamp.ca/ChangeCamp_Ottawa. I heard about this through a friend who is a contributer to http://www.apt613.ca another site worth checking out for the Ottawa residents on the forum.
