Couldn't we just turn the speed up on the revolving restaurant and call it a horizontal ferris wheel? How about one turn every 30 seconds?

Imagine that... walk up to the bar in the center... and a few moments later you can't find your seat.

yeahh the playdome! i try to go there every year. their ferris wheel is nothing to brag about. there's much better stuff inside than that...

if we were to somehow build a london eye-type thing, where do you guys think it would be built? that grassy park area next to Georgia near stanley park? there isn't much there except for that upside down church...which isn't there anymore because of nimbys. ok maybe not there...

then where?

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the Parks Board voted unanimously to return some of the public art sculptures. Never underestimate the power of a well-written letter I don't know if they'll bring back the church, though, as it's sitting somewhere in Calgary now

back on topic. the Playdome was actually a load of fun. sadly though, as at every fair/amusement park, the spinning strawberry ride did me in for the day.

pics to come later!
