Looks like a nice aerial tour and great shots of the skyline from that angle.

Very nice. Dallas is a tough city to fully capture at street level. These pictures really show the scale of the place.

Great shots! It really shows how big the Big D is. Also, it refutes those rumors about Dallas lacking trees.

I know I'm always surprise how many people think Dallas is in a desert. Although not as many tress as Atlanta (well not many cities come close) Dallas does have its fair share of greenery. Its also not as flat as most people think.

Anyway awesome photos, and seeing these just makes me sad I'm not going to be visiting next week as I had planned. Who knows perhaps I can still find a cheap ticket, but not likely.

I know what you mean about people's impressions. A lot of the suburbs were built in former farmland and grasslands, thus people's impressions of relatively few trees, if that's all they see. But some of the metroplex was originally woodlands, especially the southern portion of the metroplex between Dallas and Fort Worth. It's a long way to any desert areas from DFW. The general landscape in the DFW area is similar to what you find from that area northward through much of the midwest. Precipitation is midwestern as well, not western.

Southwest Dallas County near Duncanville looks sort of like the hill country of central TX, and is hilly and wooded. Some parts of Fort Worth are quite hilly as well.

Great job on the photos.

I especially like this one. The city looks like a monster.

Yes, this monster shot needs to be donated to Wikipedia.
