Nashville 2 of 2: Neighborhoods

See Part 1.

21st Street, and the area around Vanderbilt U.
Most of the stores were closed. Someone needs to explain how on holidays people aren't at work and are therefore likely to go shopping.

Midtown

These are from the neighborhood immediately east of 21st Street. I think it's called Edgehill, but not sure.

Finally, East Nashville, where we stayed. I only managed to get a few pictures of houses, but there was an OKish little commercial center too.

Nashville is a great town. Sort of reminds me of Atlanta before the Olympics.

Part 1 was superb, but, I enjoy seeing these neighborhoods outside of downtown. Thanks!

Good stuff Cirrus. Nashville is still getting re acclimated to the finer points of truly urban living. I say re acclimated because most of the city's urban fabric has been destroyed by natural disasters, fires, and urban renewal over the years. But the city is taking great strides to get back on the ball.

What a pleasant surprise!

What's the status on that huge skyscraper they were mulling?

I really love that east neigborhood, it seems so cozey and charming. I would love to see some northwest shots, some of the little grittier areas.
