Home sweet home. With as much time as I spend downtown, every time someone posts a thread about Asheville -- and there's been an awful lot of Asheville in the City Photos section this month -- I always check to see if someone might have inadvertently caught me wandering around.

Love that place. I used to drive the 2.5 hours from Columbia to get a break from the heat and humidity . . . and to hang out in a town with some vitality.

Yeah, Asheville makes me long for the days of unbridled capitalism and company towns.
