Why I love this city (2/2): Vancouver streets, sea, sunsets & sand
Hello all. Welcome to Part 2 of my Friday afternoon trek - turning into my Friday evening trek. In Part 2 I start off in Yaletown proper, hop across the Cambie Street Bridge to the new seawall section at the u/c Olympic Village, and then make my way down the seawall along the south shore of False Creek just in time for a sunset at 'Kits' (Kitsilano) Beach.
I never knew Vancouver was SO modern? Amazing pictures, i like very single one of them. IMO i think vancouver beats Toronto by a 10.!!
Keep up the good work!
In the city proper? My biased opinion says Kitsilano. But also Point Grey, Dunbar, Kerrisdale, Yaletown, West End, Shawnessy, Mount Pleasant (south), East Van (Commercial area), pretty much anywhere between Main and UBC... beach access helps a lot. I'm not too fond of the south-east or areas bordering Burnaby so much. Hope that helps.
This city is a mix of almost every city in the world, yet there are so many unique things about it. you really get that feel walking around town.
thanks for all the photos!
Interesting (maybe) sidenote: your goslings look to be almost the exact same age as ours. I assumed that with your earlier, milder spring your geese would hatch earlier than their SW Ontario cousins.
