250,000 expected for New Year's in S.A.
Largest party in Texas?
There's more than just the countdown to 2008 to look forward to at this year's Celebrate San Antonio New Year's Eve party. In fact, Monday's festivities are actually three celebrations rolled into one.
First, there's the celebration to ring in the New Year. Beginning at 6 p.m., an estimated 250,000 people will fill La Villita and South Alamo street between Market and Durango. This year, five stages with live music — everything from rock to oldies to Tejano and norteño — are scattered throughout the area, including the H-E-B Family Stage at the Arneson River Theatre.
