It's a huge improvement over the existing lot. It's a step to improving the urbanity along Carling. And it's a tremendously desirable location, being near the Arboretum and Dow's Lake. I can't wait till we see some LRT down that street and the pace of redevelopment picks up.
Construction is well underway. In the distance we can see the Merrion townhomes. They sell for quite a bit so they are understandably all-brick. I still can't believe they couldn't find a way to do these with a rear garage. Having that garage in front just cheapens them so much more. Think of how much more these would be worth if they had a totally garage-free facade.
Ahh cool, I've been past this area several times, and I didn't know what they were doing...this area of the city is only going to get built up more and more as time goes by...
Close but not exact. On the TTC font, the "M" is more expanded, the arms on the "E" and "F" are regularly spaced, and the legs on letters like "R" and "K" are cut off straight. I have a copy of the TTC font and those words would look like this:
The font was all over downtown last summer. Brownie points to anyone who can guess where.
