SA: Map of South side growth

Map shows active developments (yellow, under construction) and pre-planning (green, soon to be under construction) on the south and southeast sides of San Antonio. It's not on the same level as the north side or the far west side but impressive none the less. With Espada, Verano and The Preserve (just east of Verano; out of frame) City South is going to to take shape fantastically. Not to mention allk the recently new retail at Goliad Rd. and Miliary Drive (HEB, Target, Best Buy) plus the 500,000 square foot City Base West retail center and the 450,000 McCreless Market (HEB Plus!).

That is a lot of Walmarts very close to each other, but that is typical Walmart. Good to see the south side growing. It is a lot closer than the more sprawled out developments on the north side. HEB Plus are nice, too. How many new ones are they building around SA?

Well that is very relieving to see, it should combat alot of the bulge on the north side of town.

Two have been built, one on the southwest side and another on the far west side. There are two under construction, one on the far north side and one on the southeast side, and two or three planned.

Kewl. I say they better work on 410 on that part a lot sooner then later. I can just imagine the traffic. Nice find...

I laugh because of they are correcting the mistakes of the northside. They are adding at least three east to west corridors as to give an ease to 1604 and 410 down there.
