They've finshed the 4th floor just another floor to add. This should be a quick project, probably be finished by the end of the winter.

Has anyone else noticed that Buttinsky's patio was cut in half! It's got like zero patio space now.
This is, imo anyway, the ONE good reason to deny a patio.
Everytime I'd walk by the old patio, I always felt super uncomfortable with all the Buttinsky "clientel" outside, drunk, swearing, spitting and acting shady in general.

I DO notice that there is a small patio infront of the Yet-To-Be-Named Bldg... at least in the rendering. Does anyone know of any possible tenants yet?

They do that every winter. It will be back in the summer.

I would....other than Buttinsky's it's a great street. busy, with lots of people.
Add in a patio in front of Connaught across the street and voila, you've got something happening.

Ya, that lil "park" infront of the Connaught is PERFECT for Starbucks/Second Cup.

I was watching the CFL playoffs yesterday and noticed a new TD commercial which was actually filmed in that lil park. They had turned the corner retail space at john into a TD. Very neat. Funny they didn't just film it 10 metres down the street infront of the ACTUAL TD hahaha

i saw that commercial too and kept wondering if it was Gore Park, except the TD in an older building kept throwing me off. was it really the Gore?? looked amazing! I kept thinking 'it must be somewhere in Montreal or Toronto'.

It was really Gore. I saw them filming it earlier this summer. I thought it was completely retarded that they didn't just film at the actual TD Bank down the street. They brought in a ton of TD Bank props... weird. The "older building" was the Connaught.

I forgot I took pictures of the TD Canada Trust shoot. It was September 22 while they where setting up for the Hulk shoot on Main Street. They did not put a TD sign on the building just a blue background and super imposed the sign after. You can see by the size of the crew, they would have to close the south leg of King Street to do the shoot if the had gone done the street to the TD Bank.

It's currently cut off at the very top of the windows.
Looks like there should be a foot or so more of brick ontop of that, then the decorative moulding.
So it seems as though it wont be AS tall as the rendering, but taller than it's current state.

Awesome find on that fire pic!! The new bldg's going to look better than that original one!
